A Virtual Tour of Washington, DC, Virginia and Maryland

Typical in suburban Washington, DC, so why should this page be any different? :-)

Last updated: 07 February 2006, 1432 ET.

Welcome ... metro Washington, DC, is where I call home as I reside about 20 miles west in the Northern Virginia suburbs. What follows are sites for the National Capital Area so that if you are ever in the neighborhood, you can come knowing more than where the Air & Space Museum is located. :-)

DC: Getting In and Around Town

Dulles International Airport Located in northern Virginia and traditionally underutilized, IAD is a hub to United Airlines.
Ronald Reagan National Airport Recently renamed, DCA is still referred to as Washington National Airport by the natives. New terminals opened in July 1997, including a much improved access to the subway system.
DC Metro Transit Authority METRO ... the subway system has been touted as one of the cleanest in the country. This is the best way to get around downtown Washington as traffic and parking can make driving a less than pleasant experience.

Great Places to Eat

Chantilly Home to Trivia, they have award-winning ribs and some great salads, too.
Sully's Restaurant and Lounge Located in Chantilly, VA, they offer separate dining and lounge facilities, providing a great atmosphere for meals and social gatherings.
The Vienna Inn Not just a restaurant but an institution in Northern Virginia ... located in downtown Vienna, just minutes west of Tyson's Corner.
Rocco's Italian Restaurant A "Little Touch of Italy" in McLean, VA.
